If your Tesla Model Y is made in China or Germany. please note the location of your removal holes when placing an order.

INSTALLATION

You only need a tool of hex driver with the steering wheel.

This modification does not impact anything else in your vehicle. all electronics. computer systems and hardware work exactly the same. we are providing you with a customized steering wheel shell. the same buttons and airbag are used.

Installation takes 1 to 2 hours however professional installers should be able to do it in less than 1 hour.

When searching for local installers. you can search for local auto shops. specialized audio. detailing. upholstery automotive performance and customization workshops.
You can book them for 1 to 2 hours as that's what they would probably ask as a minimum booking.

Installation of an aftermarket steering wheel does not impact warranty of every other component of your Tesla.

We recommend professional installation of all our custom steering wheel.

FAQ

Q1 - So the heating option for 2020 is a free upgrade with the purchase. does it work in conjunction with the heated seat option?
A1 - Your original steering wheel must have a built-in heating function. and it can be heated after installing our heated steering wheel. It has nothing to do with heated seats.

Q2 - How difficult is it to install it? Any risk of airbags going off?  DIY possible. or do you need to take it to a professional to get it installed?
A2 - It is not difficult to install at all. you can install it yourself. we recommend professional installation. and the airbag will not risk exploding. There is an installation video on the product page. you can watch it.

Q3 - Is this for the American tesla car left side?
A3 - Yes. the yoke steering wheel can be installed on the left and right side of the driving position.

Q4 - I hesitate between Nappa white leather. trapezoid-gloss and trapezoid-matte. Alcantara gray yoke steering wheels. do you have any good suggestions?
A4 - You can choose according to the style of your own car interior. such as the color of the car seat.

Q5 - How do co-connect the heated steering wheel?
A5 - Heated steering wheel has one more wire than a non-heated steering wheel. Connect this wire to the car's heater connector. Hautosport uses a plug-and-play design for easy connection.

Q6 - Do I use my current airbag cover? 
A6 - You can use your own airbag cover. Our package does not include buttons and airbag cover.
